President Isaac Herzog is set to task Gadi Eisenkot with forming a government after he secured 67 recommendations, outpacing Benjamin Netanyahu's 46 following the certified Knesset election results.

Following the certification of the 26th Knesset election results, President Isaac Herzog has launched consultations at the President's Residence, where Gadi Eisenkot has secured 67 recommendations compared to 46 for incumbent Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Central Election Committee Chairman Justice Noam Solberg officially presented the final results to President Herzog, emphasizing that despite ongoing investigations into minor voting irregularities, the integrity of the democratic process remains sound. Solberg stressed that democratic norms require respecting the voters' will and ensuring a peaceful transfer of power.
During the consultations, United Torah Judaism declined to endorse any candidate, while Otzma Yehudit, Religious Zionism, and Zehut backed Netanyahu. Conversely, Yisrael Beytenu, The Democrats, Ra'am, Hadash-Ta'al, and the BeYachad alliance recommended Eisenkot. Ra'am leader Mansour Abbas highlighted the need for a stable government and voiced support for a two-state vision, while United Torah Judaism representatives indicated openness to talks regarding yeshiva student enlistment.
