Eisenkot raises tens of millions of shekels: these are the billionaires backing him
The "Yashar Le-Israel im Eisenkot" party continues to increase its campaign funding. According to the State Comptroller's report, the party has registered 269 donations and guarantees totaling over 18.27 million shekels. The list of backers includes Alfred Akirov, Shmuel Harlap, Frank Lowy, Jonathan Kolber, Amiram Levin, and Marius Nacht.
The "Yashar Le-Israel im Eisenkot" party, led by Gadi Eisenkot, continues to increase the volume of financial backing ahead of the election campaign. According to updated data in the report to the State Comptroller, appearing in the party's list of donations, guarantees, and loans, 269 entries have been recorded so far, totaling 18,271,653 shekels.
The data shows that 242 of these are donations totaling 1,703,653 shekels, while 27 entries are guarantees totaling 16,568,000 shekels. The party did not report any loans.
The list of guarantors includes a series of well-known names in the economy and the business world. According to the updated file, Alfred Akirov, Jonathan Kolber, Frank Lowy, and Meir Adest each provided a guarantee of 1 million shekels. Amiram Levin and Gideon Argov also provided guarantees of 1 million shekels each.
Shmuel Harlap provided a guarantee of 986,000 shekels, and Eyal Dagan provided a guarantee of 670,000 shekels. Marius Nacht appears on the list with a guarantee of 500,000 shekels.
The list of guarantees also includes other names with significant amounts. Shira Davidi provided a guarantee of 540,000 shekels, while Zohar Gilon, Roni Katzin, Ran Goshen, Eli Davidai, Hagai Shalom, Hila Raanani, and Yaron Gazit appear on the list with guarantees of 500,000 shekels each.
The file also includes Ronen Naftali with a guarantee of 1 million shekels, Kobi Brown with 1 million shekels, as well as Yahal Zilka with 447,000 shekels and Ronen Manelis with 400,000 shekels.
Alongside the guarantees, the list of donors includes hundreds of donations. The maximum donation amount appearing on the list is 14,000 shekels. Among others, Major General (res.) Amiram Levin appears, who, according to the updated data, provided both a guarantee of 1 million shekels and a donation of 14,000 shekels.
The gap between a donation and a guarantee is significant. A donation is money transferred to the party, while a guarantee serves as collateral for financial obligations. A new party can provide guarantees for the purpose of receiving election funding advances and loans, even before the public determines its future strength at the ballot box.
