Ein Yaakov Man Indicted for Arson After Calling MDA Over Hand Burns
A 35-year-old Ein Yaakov resident was indicted for torching his neighbor's car. He fled the scene but was arrested after calling Magen David Adom to treat his burns.

The Haifa District Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment against a 35-year-old resident of Ein Yaakov, charging him with setting fire to his neighbor's car. The suspect fled the scene but was apprehended shortly afterward when he contacted Magen David Adom (MDA) to report burns on his hands sustained during the act.
The incident took place on the afternoon of October 10, when police received an emergency report regarding a vehicle fire in the community of Ein Yaakov. Northern District police officers rushed to the scene, located the burnt vehicle, and initiated an immediate investigation to determine the circumstances and track down the perpetrator.
Just minutes after the arson, emergency services received a call from Magen David Adom reporting an injured man nearby suffering from suspected burns. Officers swiftly arrived at the location, identified the suspect with severe burns on his hands, and placed him under arrest before transferring him to the police station for questioning.
According to the investigation findings, the suspect drove to a local gas station earlier that day and filled a jerrycan with flammable liquid, which was subsequently used to carry out the arson. Investigators revealed that the crime stemmed from an ongoing neighborhood dispute between the suspect and his neighbor, whose family owned the targeted vehicle.
The Israel Police emphasized the severity of the crime in an official statement: "The Israel Police views arson offenses with the utmost gravity, as they pose a real danger to human life and property, particularly when carried out near residential areas and capable of leading to uncontrolled fires and harm to innocent people."
