Efi Kraif Breaks Silence: "You Saw My Nude Photo, So What?"

In 2019, the "sex for appointments" scandal erupted, revealing an intimate relationship between Efi Nave, then-head of the Israel Bar Association, and Efi Kraif. The correspondence between them raised suspicions that Nave acted to promote her appointment as a judge in 2016 in exchange for their relationship. In 2021, the criminal case was closed due to a lack of sufficient evidence for bribery, and as part of the settlement, Kraif resigned from the bench.

Now, Kraif is breaking her silence. After a period of avoiding the cameras, she was interviewed by Omri Assenheim for his program "Assenheim" on Reshet 13. Ahead of the broadcast this Thursday, here is a glimpse into the interview in which Kraif says she regrets deleting correspondence from her phone during the investigation into the "sex for appointments" affair.

When asked why she deleted the correspondence with then-Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon, Kraif said:

"Because when they write 'How are you, the most beautiful judge?' or 'When will we meet?', just like that. The truth? It's a pity. It caused damage. You came to bless and you left cursing."

Regarding the correspondence she deleted with Judge Yosef Elron, she stated:

"For the same reason. Just like that. If I had something to hide? But when you restored it, you saw that it was a grocery list, you saw that it was a picture of me naked. Okay, what's the problem? Why are you now pouncing on me like you've found a great prize?"

When asked if she would have deleted the correspondence in hindsight, Kraif answered firmly:

"No way! Why and for what, were they there for me? Why would I delete? Moshe Kahlon? No one helped me. I was disappointed in Moshe Kahlon. I didn't hear a peep from him. But forget it, I don't want to beat myself up and be bitter. People who cannot and should not be in my life - let them not be."
