Edmond Safra Pours Nearly 100 Million Shekels into Hapoel Tel Aviv
Edmond Safra has invested nearly 100 million shekels in Hapoel Tel Aviv, propelling the club back to the Premier League and European competition with a 60 million shekel budget for the upcoming season.

Since Edmond Safra's arrival at Hapoel Tel Aviv, the club has undergone a significant transformation both on the pitch and behind the scenes. The Jewish businessman acquired the team while it was still in the Liga Leumit, and since then the Reds have returned to the Premier League in style, breaking the points record, ending a 12-year derby curse against their cross-town rivals, and returning to European competitions.
According to a report by Israel Hayom, Edmond Safra has invested close to 100 million shekels since arriving at the club. The Reds' budget has grown substantially, with estimates placing the upcoming season's budget at around 60 million shekels. Additionally, the youth department's budget stands at 15 million shekels.
In the recent transfer window, Hapoel Tel Aviv managed to keep Israeli star Stav Toriel, but lost another major star, Loizos Loizou, who was sold to Red Star Belgrade for 3 million euros. Moving in the opposite direction and breaking the club's all-time transfer record is Douglas Owusu, who was acquired for 2.2 million euros.
