Eden Harel Opens Up About Combat Son and TV Projects
Channel 14 presenter Eden Harel shared her complex emotional journey as a combat soldier's mother on Instagram and discussed her upcoming television projects.
Eden Harel, the Channel 14 presenter and wife of Oded Menashe, opened up to her Instagram followers over the weekend about the complex emotions of being a combat soldier's mother.
When asked by followers if her son Uriah serves in a combat role, Harel posted a photo of the two while he was holding a weapon and confessed to the emotional turbulence: "Yes. It fluctuates between wanting to break his leg so he stays home and stops doing foolish things, and in the same breath being proud. Proud of the privilege of having a son who protects the people of Israel."
Alongside her maternal fears, Harel addressed her professional life and followers' curiosity regarding her absence from the Channel 14 morning show. She explained the factors leading to the move and revealed her upcoming projects: "The show changed direction and I connected with it less. I am doing the docu-series, which I am enjoying immensely. And soon I am launching a new interview show called 'Let It Remain Between Us' (SheYishaar Beyneynu). There is a lot to look forward to. I always prefer doing things I connect with, otherwise it doesn't translate well on screen."
In addition, as someone who frequently enjoys the outdoors, the media personality shared her family's plans for the upcoming holiday intermediate days (Chol HaMoed). "It's a stunning period for the beach," Harel declared, adding regarding their anticipated sleep under the open sky: "Quiet, next week we will spend a night at the beach, there is a sukkah and a tent."
