Eden Fins Fires Back: “Using This as Gossip Is Disrespect”
After facing harsh comments regarding her appearance from a well-known fashion photographer and a famous actress, the model launches a direct attack and explains why the discourse about her crossed every red line.
After a brief silence in the face of a wave of reactions and criticism regarding her appearance, Eden Fins has decided to fire back. In a video and a pointed response, the model clarified that she feels great and that the attempt to judge her publicly has crossed the red line.
“I’m a girl who trains, eats healthy, and looks and feels like an explosive charge,” Fins said, clarifying that she does not intend to let her critics’ speculation dictate her life.
As a reminder, the storm began after Fins posted photos from a vacation in Paris to her Instagram account. The images led to a wave of comments dealing with her body, but the drama escalated when fashion photographer and model agent Adi Barken responded to the photo, writing, “My heart is with the followers,” alongside additional criticism in which he took aim at actress and model Liat Blue. Barken’s comments sparked a major uproar, especially given that Fins had previously shared openly about her struggles with eating disorders.
In her remarks, Fins attacked the ease with which people online diagnose her from afar:
“Eating disorders are a real, complex, and painful topic. Using it as gossip about another person is not awareness and not help—it is disrespect for a topic that deserves professional attention, not a headline.”
Fins emphasized that body shaming is not measured only by weight, but by the public’s sense of entitlement to comment on someone else’s body.
The current uproar comes at a happy time in Fins’s life, as she recently married singer Omer Cohen. While her critics claimed their words stemmed from concern for her and her audience, Fins concluded with a sharp message against intrusive social media discourse:
“We as a society fall the moment we feel it is permitted to comment on or draw conclusions about a body that doesn’t belong to us. I am a person with a soul and emotions, and no one knows what another person is going through.”
