Israel-Dubai Rescue Flights to Begin Monday with Carry-On Luggage Only
Rescue flights from Dubai to Israel will operate until Monday with carry-on luggage only due to security disputes. Large suitcases will undergo separate screening and arrive via cargo planes.

Rescue flights from Dubai to Israel will begin tomorrow and continue until Monday under modified security protocols. Passengers will be permitted to board with carry-on luggage only, while large suitcases must remain behind for separate security checks.
Security Crisis and Protocol Changes
The restrictions stem from a security dispute between Israeli aviation security authorities and aviation companies in Dubai following strict Israeli demands for enhanced screening measures. Due to this disagreement, standard flight operations were temporarily suspended until intervention by security agencies.
Following pressure from the Ministry of Transport, the Shin Bet authorized Israeli airlines to operate rescue flights under these conditional parameters.
Luggage Logistics and Schedule
Under the temporary arrangement, checked baggage will undergo individual security inspections before being dispatched to Israel via daily cargo planes departing from Dubai. The modified schedule includes four approved flights operated by El Al, Israir, and Arkia.
-
El Al tickets start at 249 USD.
-
Arkia tickets start at 279 USD.
-
Israir tickets start at 299 USD.
Normal operations are expected to resume by Monday, pending further security assessments and official approvals.
