Disaster in Jerusalem: Man run over to death in self-accident
According to a preliminary investigation, the accident occurred due to the neutralization of the vehicle's safety system. The system did not detect that there was no driver in the car, and it continued to move. Shortly after: a man was killed in a car accident in the Negev and two children were seriously injured in an ATV rollover.

Within hours, two men aged about 30 and 35 were killed today, Friday, in car accidents in Jerusalem and the Negev.
A man aged about 30 was run over to death in a self-accident in Jerusalem. The initial suspicion of the traffic examiners on behalf of the police is that the driver was run over because the vehicle continued to move due to the neutralization of the safety system. Following the fastening of the seatbelts, the vehicle's system did not detect that there was no driver inside. Therefore, the travel continued in a way that endangered his life and eventually caused his death. The tragic accident occurred on Adoniyahu HaKohen Street in Jerusalem.
MADA teams that arrived at the scene evacuated the driver while he was in critical condition, while performing resuscitation operations. Eli Raymond, a medic from MADA's motorcycle unit, said:
"We saw the injured man trapped, unconscious, without a pulse and without breathing, with very severe injuries."
Later, he was evacuated to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital in critical condition, where his death was determined.
A few hours later, a man aged about 35 was killed in a car accident on Highway 316, near Afinish in the northern Negev. MADA teams that arrived at the scene determined his death and provided medical treatment to 3 other injured people aged 27, 30 and 37, all in moderate condition. They were evacuated to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba with multi-system injury.
"This is a very serious car accident," said MADA paramedic Eden Milman. "One of the vehicles' drivers, a man aged about 35, was trapped in his vehicle that overturned to the shoulder and had severe sheet metal damage. From the second vehicle that was overturned on the shoulder of the road, 3 men aged about 30 were rescued while they were conscious."
During the evening, two children were seriously injured and a 36-year-old man was moderately injured in an ATV rollover near the northern beach in Ashdod. MADA teams provided them with medical treatment and evacuated to Assuta Hospital a 6-year-old child with multi-system injury and a 4-year-old child with a head injury.
"This is a serious car accident in the field. We saw the man and the two children lying on the sand, when one of the children was unconscious," said paramedic Orel Asulin and emergency medic Daniel Oknin from MADA.
