A flight that was supposed to take off today (Sunday) from Larnaca, Cyprus, to Ben Gurion Airport is experiencing an unusual delay of more than two and a half hours. The reason for the prolonged delay is an incident of rioting and severe verbal abuse by three passengers, which ended with them being removed from the plane by security personnel.

According to testimonies from the plane, the confrontation began during preparations for takeoff, when the three passengers refused to cooperate with the flight crew's instructions. The incident escalated quickly when the passengers began shouting and cursing at the flight attendants. At the height of the disturbance, the three hurled crude and harsh homophobic slurs at one of the flight attendants serving on the flight.

In light of the verbal violence and the absolute refusal to obey the crew's instructions, it was decided not to allow them to fly and they were removed from the plane, a move that caused a significant delay in the schedule and a long wait for the rest of the passengers remaining on board.

Removing the passengers and handling the incident caused a significant delay, and now, with passengers waiting for three and a half hours inside the plane, symptoms of real harm to the well-being of those in the cabin are beginning to be recorded. A passenger waiting on the plane did not feel well and required urgent medical assistance from the flight attendant crew, who were required to bring him an oxygen mask. At the same time, another passenger testified that she felt a severe panic attack, accompanied by noticeable difficulty breathing and severe headaches, due to the tense atmosphere and the prolonged wait in the enclosed space.

S., a passenger on the flight, in a conversation with "Hayom" stated:

"They ruined our vacation, we have been drying out here for three and a half hours already. There are people here with children, babies, people are already not feeling well, we just want to go home. Because of three people who behaved badly, a whole plane is screwed."
