A criminal drama has unfolded in Eilat: a daring and unusual break-in at a Super-Pharm branch in the city's Big center has led to the exposure of a large-scale criminal affair. The suspect, a local resident in his thirties known as a property offender, monitored security arrangements at the site for days, identified a weak point, and managed to break in and steal a safe containing thousands of shekels in cash.

According to a report by Mako, security cameras installed at the branch documented his actions, leading investigators to a swift arrest. During the investigation, it emerged that forensic evidence left at the scene links the suspect to other serious offenses, including a chain of at least twelve break-ins into various vehicles across the city, from which cash and property were stolen.

During a raid carried out by Eilat district police at the suspect's home, officers seized a large sum of cash. At a hearing held at the city's Magistrate's Court, police argued that the suspect acted with great audacity, showing no fear of passersby. Conversely, the suspect denied all allegations, and his defense attorney argued that his identification via security footage is not sufficiently legally grounded.

The judge examined the investigation materials and decided to extend the suspect's detention for two additional days to allow for supplementary investigative actions. It remains to be seen whether the forensic evidence will lead to the formulation of a serious indictment that will bring him to justice.
