The elimination of Shir Taran and Elad Turgeman from "Power Couple" is a significant turning point in the season. Like any dramatic strategic move, it is composed of a combination of tactical errors by the contestants alongside production decisions that raise questions.
On one hand, the two were among the most prominent and successful couples in the tasks, and they held the largest capital in the palace. However, the format of the game is based first and foremost on social connections, and it was precisely in this area that they made absurd mistakes.

Alongside the couple's social failure, I cannot ignore the rules of the format. Until two episodes ago, or before Asi was at the bottom of the table, the candidates for elimination were determined by the size of the couples' capital—an element that gave Shir and Elad a clear advantage.
Conversely, in the last two eliminations, the rule was changed: it was decided that the two couples who reached the last places in the task would automatically stand for elimination. This change in model occurred precisely in the episodes where Asi and Adi Buzaglo held the smallest capital, which saved them from certain nomination for elimination.
The dramatic dynamic did not end at the moment of voting, but quickly spilled over into personal matters and confrontations inside the house. The blatant hypocrisy of Asi and Adi stood out especially when they went back on their promise to protect Shir and Elad, even though they themselves had previously been furious about similar moves by other contestants.

At the same time, the dramatic scene in which Odiya Pinto erupted following the decision of Shir and Elad to take part of the money from her and Elior showed again how difficult it is for contestants to separate strategic moves from personal injury.
Beyond the strategic moves and confrontations, the episode was full of comic moments and complex tasks. The central task, which required blind coordination between the partners through a wall to pop balloons, exposed the communication gaps and externalized the pressure under which the contestants are living.

Also, the parallel editing segments between the men who dealt with gossip and strategy and the women who gathered for the Challah separation created an interesting and amusing contrast. Ultimately, despite all the complaints about the lack of consistency in the rules and the endless dramas, the game continues to provide great interest ahead of the decisive stages of the season.
