According to a report in 'The Sun', 41-year-old Harry received the offer in advance this time, ahead of his planned visit in September, during which he will participate in the annual WellChild awards events. It is not known at this stage whether his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, will join him for the visit.
During his previous visit to the UK, which lasted five days and included events in London and Birmingham, Harry did not stay at Buckingham Palace.
