Dolly Parton's Nephew and Former Head of Security Faces Estate Dispute

Brian Seewer, the nephew of legendary singer Dolly Parton and her head of security for over two decades, has stepped into the spotlight following her death and the subsequent legal battle over her estate.

Seewer was the one who announced Parton's passing in a video posted on her Instagram account on August 25. In the clip, he introduced himself as having served as his aunt's head of security for more than 20 years, a role he took over from his father, Larry.

Legal Battle and Restraining Order

Since the outbreak of the dispute surrounding her estate, Seewer's name has repeatedly made headlines. Among other developments, a lawsuit was filed against him by the company managing Parton's business affairs, and a Tennessee court issued a temporary restraining order against him and his security company.

Court documents filed by the estate managers allege that Seewer threatened staff members, invoking his military background and access to weapons. One of the claims involves a message Seewer allegedly sent to one of Parton's lawyers stating, "I am a killer."

"I never threatened anyone, and those words were completely taken out of context," Seewer said, explaining that Dolly Parton herself used to call him that as an affectionate joke.

A New Focus for Fans

Beyond his work with his aunt, Seewer has provided security for television productions and previously worked as a military contractor. As the legal dispute continues, fans have also noted his changing appearance over the years, marked by a full white beard in his recent public video compared to older photos from 2017.
