Novak Djokovic celebrated his 102nd career title and his seventh in Beijing, continuing to astonish the tennis world at the age of 39. The Serbian maintained a flawless 34-0 record at the tournament, capturing his first title of the season and extending his remarkable streak of winning at least one tour-level title to 21 consecutive years.

Praise from Peers and Rising Stars

One of the highest compliments came from Coco Gauff, who reflected on Djokovic's exceptional performance during the tournament following his semifinal clash against Daniil Medvedev. "He is an alien, truly," the American said. "I watched the match and it is just crazy. There were hardly any unforced errors, and both of them maintained the same level for two and a half hours. Novak is an alien. I do not know how he does it at this age. He is so good."

Mirra Andreeva, one of the tour's brightest young stars, also shared how much Djokovic serves as an inspiration for her. "What he is doing is simply unbelievable," the Russian stated. "He has achieved everything, won everything possible, and still finds the motivation to come to these tournaments, fight, win, and overcome so many great players. It is a huge inspiration to see a legend who has already won everything still loving to play, still enjoying it, and still fighting."

Resilience and Future Outlook

Alex de Minaur, who was forced to retire from the final due to injury after dropping the first set 7-6(3), praised his opponent prior to their meeting. "I stopped being surprised a long time ago by what Novak is capable of bringing to the court," the Australian noted. "As players, we have seen what he can do almost throughout his entire career. It is amazing to watch him play at such an extremely high level."

"Resilience is not something you are born with, it is something you must build and develop," Djokovic said after the victory. "It is built in those days and weeks when no one is looking. Tennis requires a 100 percent commitment, not just in training but in your entire lifestyle."

Looking ahead, when asked if he would return next year, Djokovic sounded less committed to long-term scheduling. "I will definitely return to Beijing, but in what role and how—I still do not know," he concluded.
