Twice in a week: two suspects broke into the Bnei Brak municipality

Indictments were filed against two 16-year-old minors, residents of the center of the country, on suspicion of breaking into the Bnei Brak municipal building twice and stealing a large amount of property. Alongside the indictment, a request was filed to hold them in custody until the end of the proceedings.

Indictments were filed against two 16-year-old minors, residents of the center of the country, on suspicion of breaking into the Bnei Brak municipal building twice and stealing a large amount of property. Alongside the indictment, a request was filed to hold them in custody until the end of the proceedings.

The break-ins occurred on July 10, 2026, and July 17, 2026. During the incidents, damage was caused to property, offices, and equipment that was in the building, and among other things, a tablet and mobile phones were stolen from the municipal offices.

Police officers from the Bnei Brak station in the Dan region opened an investigation, and later, officers from the central unit of the Tel Aviv district joined. During the covert investigation, which was also conducted using technological means, the investigators managed to identify the suspects.

The two were arrested at the beginning of the week. During a search of their apartment, a large amount of property was seized, including a tablet and mobile phones, which are suspected to have been stolen during the break-ins.

The youth prosecution unit of the Tel Aviv district filed indictments against the minors for breaking and entering, conspiracy to commit a crime, and property damage. Their detention was extended in court, and at the same time, a request was filed to keep them in custody until the end of the proceedings.
