Debts of 4.5 million shekels: 10 vehicles seized in Baqa al-Gharbiyye
Police and the Tax Authority conducted a raid against tax debtors in Baqa al-Gharbiyye, seizing 10 vehicles during a joint enforcement operation. The activity focused on outstanding debts to the Haifa VAT and Income Tax offices.
Ten vehicles were seized this week in Baqa al-Gharbiyye as part of a joint enforcement operation by the police and the Tax Authority, due to tax debts totaling approximately 4.5 million shekels. The operation involved officers from the Baqa al-Gharbiyye station of the Coastal District, personnel from the Tax Authority's Northern Enforcement Unit, and operatives from the Menashe YASAM unit.
The operation targeted debtors of the Haifa VAT and Income Tax offices as part of the ongoing fight against economic crime and efforts to bolster enforcement in the region. During the activity, the vehicles were located and seized as part of enforcement actions against tax debtors and suspects involved in economic crimes.
The vehicles have been transferred to the Tax Authority for further processing in accordance with its legal powers. Both the police and the Tax Authority stated that cooperation between the agencies will continue as part of the broader effort to combat economic crime, strengthen the rule of law, and maintain public order.
