Espionage suspects filmed site of Benjamin Netanyahu's future visit

The grave of Ze'ev Jabotinsky on Mount Herzl was documented by one of the suspects in the new espionage case, just about a week before Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived at the site to participate in a memorial service. The suspect was also sent to document the homes of people from defense industries and other sensitive areas.

From the investigation, it emerged that during the last few months, Amushukov maintained contact with an Iranian agent and carried out various security-related tasks. In return for his activities, he received payments in cryptocurrency. It further emerged that some of the tasks were carried out jointly with Kushnirko.

Among other things, Amushukov was sent to document the homes of people connected to defense industries. Additionally, he photographed the grave of Ze'ev Jabotinsky on Mount Herzl, just about a week before Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived at the site to participate in a memorial service.

During the contact, the Iranian agent instructed Amushukov to go to Eilat and purchase a modern mobile phone with high-resolution photography capabilities. Thousands of shekels were transferred to him for the purchase of the device, with the aim of enabling him to perform high-quality photography tasks under the agent's guidance.

At the request of the foreign agent, Amushukov also photographed other sensitive areas, including the port of Eilat and a museum. According to the investigation findings, he carried out the tasks while fully aware that he was acting on behalf of an Iranian agent. Today, an indictment was filed against Amushukov and Kushnirko at the Tel Aviv District Court by the Tel Aviv District Attorney's Office.
