Masked men open fire in central Sderot: three wounded
Two Rahat residents are charged with returning to a Sderot store in masks, armed with a handgun, and opening fire following an earlier confrontation. Three people were wounded in the shooting. One defendant also faces charges for malicious property damage.

Footage released on Monday reveals the moments of a shooting that occurred in December 2025 in the heart of Sderot, when two masked men opened fire on a group of people standing outside a local store. Three individuals sustained injuries of varying severity.
According to the indictment filed following an investigation by the Sderot police, two residents of Rahat arrived at the scene and engaged in a confrontation with people near the store. Following the dispute, the two left the area.
Shortly thereafter, one of the defendants returned, threw a stone at the storefront, and shattered the glass. Subsequently, both returned to the scene wearing masks and carrying a handgun. Upon reaching the plaza, one of them fired several shots at the group before both fled in their vehicle.
As a result of the gunfire, three people were wounded, suffering bullet injuries to the knee, lower leg, and thigh.
At the conclusion of the police investigation, an indictment was filed against the two Rahat residents, charging them with the illegal carrying and transport of a weapon and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. One of the defendants, Muhammad Amrani, was additionally charged with malicious damage for shattering the store window.
