Stations to close: Changes in train traffic in the center and south this week
Israel Railways announces temporary changes to train traffic in the Ashdod area on Thursday and Friday due to infrastructure works. The Ashdod Ad Halom and Yavne East stations will be temporarily closed to passenger service.

Israel Railways updates that there will be temporary changes to train traffic in the Ashdod area this coming Thursday and Friday (August 27-28, 2026). As part of the works, the Ashdod Ad Halom and Yavne East stations will be temporarily closed for service.
Trains on the Be'er Sheva Center - Herzliya line, which passes through the Sderot, Netivot, and Ofakim stations, will operate in a split format between the Be'er Sheva and Ashkelon stations and between the Yavne West and Herzliya stations. The line to Be'er Sheva, which passes through the Lod, Kiryat Gat, Lehavim-Rahat stations, and others, will operate as usual. In addition, trains on the Ashkelon - Binyamina line will start and end their journey at the Rehovot station and will not stop at the Ashkelon, Ashdod Ad Halom, and Yavne East stations.
Train traffic will return to normal on Saturday evening (August 29, 2026) with the resumption of full service.
