Behind the name "Orel Hazan": Suspicion of a multi-year romantic fraud

A young woman in her 20s is suspected of impersonating a man named "Orel Hazan" for a prolonged period and conducting romantic and sexual relationships with several women, who believed they were in a relationship with a man. Today, Wednesday, the police released the fake name used by the suspect in order to locate additional victims.

The investigation is being conducted at the Petah Tikva police station. So far, several complaints have been received and evidence related to the suspicions has been collected. At this stage, the court has prohibited the publication of the suspect's name or any detail that might lead to her identification, but has permitted the publication of the fake identity she allegedly used.

According to the police, the suspect presented herself to women as a man named "Orel Hazan" and maintained relationships with them through phone calls and online over the years. The police are calling on women who had a relationship with a person who presented themselves under the name "Orel Hazan" under similar circumstances, as well as anyone who possesses information that may assist the investigation, to contact the Petah Tikva police station or the 100 emergency line. The investigation is ongoing.
