Democrats Party Activists Attacked at Mahane Yehuda Market in Jerusalem
Young activists of the Democrats party were violently attacked at the Mahane Yehuda Market in Jerusalem, prompting harsh condemnations from party leadership who vowed to continue campaigning.
Young activists of the Democrats party were violently attacked on Thursday evening at the Mahane Yehuda Market in Jerusalem, joining a string of recent violent incidents against party workers across the country, including in Hatikvah Market and Givat Shmuel.
MK Gilad Kariv stated following the incident that party activists faced severe violence from dozens of individuals in Jerusalem, criticizing the police for delaying response, complicating the complaint process, and failing to arrest the attackers.
Party leader Yair Golan condemned the assault and praised the activists, stating that the movement will not yield to bullying and will continue campaigning nationwide ahead of the October 27 Knesset elections.
