Dell Technologies Israel Teams Drive Global Enterprise AI and Developer Workspace Innovation
Dell Technologies' Israeli development centers in Gelil Yam, Haifa, and Beer Sheva are driving enterprise AI innovation through custom-built developer workspaces and data orchestration platforms.
At Dell Technologies' development center in Israel, engineers are not only developing artificial intelligence solutions but are also building them within a uniquely tailored AI workspace. Behind this innovation engine are key Israeli team members: Kobi Molcho, Chief Architect of Data Platforms, who co-leads the development of enterprise AI solutions, and Yafit Topman, DevOps Architect, who designs AI tools to accelerate internal development processes.
Integrating AI at Every Stage of Development
"The solution my group is developing, the Data Orchestration Platform, is designed to simplify the development and operation of enterprise-scale AI systems," Molcho explains. The platform manages and processes massive volumes of unstructured data—including text, images, video, and audio—preparing it for use in AI models and various applications. Furthermore, it consolidates the diverse tools, workflows, and knowledge required for AI development into a single, unified environment.
Topman is one of the architects responsible for building Dell's internal AI Workspace, which centralizes and provides developers with direct access to AI capabilities, tools, and services. The platform allows engineers to utilize models and knowledge bases, construct and refine prompts, and integrate AI capabilities into their development pipelines without requiring individual teams to build their own infrastructure and integrations.
Overcoming Early Obstacles
At the beginning of his journey, Molcho did not anticipate a career in high-tech. "When I was ten, my father put a computer in our house and told me, 'Here, do something with this,' and I found myself formatting computers and building solutions for the entire neighborhood," he recalls. Despite this early interest, he grew up believing he would not succeed. Without a high school matriculation certificate, those around him doubted his potential, except for one or two teachers who believed in him.
Even when he began studying software engineering, he struggled with impostor syndrome. Only after graduating with honors, teaching other students, and founding a company during his studies did he realize that the limitations were self-imposed. Molcho's path to Dell went through Israeli startups Airobotics and Data Loop, where he served as CTO for six years until late 2025, when Dell Technologies acquired Data Loop. The technology developed at the startup has since become an integral part of Dell's AI portfolio.
Topman also navigated a non-traditional path. As a self-described geek immersed in gaming and Marvel universes, she received her first computer at age six. She advanced step-by-step, studying electronics engineering, starting in manual QA, transitioning to automated QA, moving into DevOps, and eventually becoming a DevOps Architect. This comprehensive experience allows her to understand the exact pain points of development teams.
Deep Tech and Global Scale
Molcho joined Dell with the title of Distinguished Engineer, a rank typically achieved only after 15 years at the company.
Chief Architect Kobi Molcho noted:
"This title allows me to participate in global forums where we delve into technological problems that border on the philosophical, at a scale that sometimes feels like science fiction. Working alongside experts from Brazil, the United States, India, and Turkey is a dream come true."
One of the projects Topman leads is a Self-Service initiative. It allows developers seeking assistance to interact naturally with an AI Assistant, which then automatically routes them to the correct team or resolves the issue autonomously.
AI is currently at the core of Dell's global strategy, and the software developed in Israel plays a critical role. Dell develops the entire stack, from the software layer created in Israel to servers, storage systems, networking, racks, and cooling systems.
Recruitment in Israel
Dell is currently recruiting for various technology positions in Israel, including data storage, AI, cloud, cyber, and data science. These roles are spread across three development sites in Gelil Yam, Haifa, and Beer Sheva. Many new hires will join the development of the platform co-led by Molcho.
Topman's core philosophy is to remove as much friction as possible for developers. Her tools currently impact over 12,000 users within Dell's Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG), significantly reducing support response times to just one or two hours.
