Back in the big city? Orly Weinerman has returned to the streets of Tel Aviv

Orly Weinerman walked among us for many years without us noticing until July 2024, when we at mako Celebs revealed her whereabouts—the streets of Jerusalem. The 55-year-old "Shemesh" star was wandering between Jaffa and HaNevi'im streets in the capital at the time and identified herself by the name Shira. Since then, she has managed to return to Tel Aviv, tried to leave the country via Jordan, and now, it turns out, has returned once again to the streets of the big city. We caught her among the cafes on Shenkin Street, which, just like in her peak days in the late 90s, is also returning to its good days from the last decade of the previous millennium. We have seen her less and less since the beginning of the previous decade, and when she flashed again in the Israeli public sphere, it was under strange circumstances, for example following anti-Zionist posts she uploaded to Facebook during Operation Protective Edge and when gossip columns reported that she was in a relationship with the son of the man who was the ruler of Libya, Muammar Gaddafi. She herself never confirmed or denied that she was in a relationship with the late dictator's son, but when he was put on trial in 2012, she expressed public support for him.
