It is not every day that we encounter a power couple of national public diplomacy during brunch, but that is exactly what happened this Monday, when mako paparazzi caught Noa Tishby (51) and Eli Sharabi (54) at the Yankale cafe in Herzliya Pituach. These good friends, who met through their advocacy work and continue to act for the benefit of the State of Israel, took a moment to connect. Our camera lens captured them preparing for a late breakfast while immersed in conversation; the star leafed through the menu with focus while sharing smiles, as Sharabi sipped his espresso with a smile of his own.
Sharabi, a resident of Kibbutz Be'eri, has reached international heights with his bestselling book 'Kidnapped'—which recently earned the title of Jewish Book of the Year in the USA. Since his release from captivity in February of last year, after 491 days, he has become one of the most significant voices on the international stage. Despite their demanding travel schedules, he and Tishby, who has long been a prominent face of Israel overseas, managed to unite to exchange ideas on the public diplomacy front. We are calm now.
