A tragedy at Soroka Hospital: a 40-year-old woman in the 34th week of her seventh pregnancy has died following an emergency surgery. The patient arrived with abdominal pain, but a rare complication led to a rapid deterioration of her condition, and the fetus was delivered without signs of life.

A tragedy at Soroka Hospital: a 40-year-old woman in the 34th week of her seventh pregnancy has passed away after arriving at the hospital with abdominal pain. Her condition deteriorated rapidly due to a rare complication, necessitating emergency surgery. During the procedure, the fetus was extracted without signs of life, and the woman was subsequently transferred to the intensive care unit in critical condition, where she died the following day.

Soroka Hospital reported that the patient sought treatment due to abdominal pain. Despite medical efforts, the rare complication proved fatal.

In an official statement, the hospital noted:

"A woman in her forties arrived at the hospital in the 34th week of her seventh pregnancy due to abdominal pain. Following a deterioration in her condition due to a rare complication, she was rushed to the operating room. A fetus was extracted without signs of life, and the woman was transferred in serious condition to the intensive care unit where she unfortunately passed away the next day. We share in the family's deep grief. The case has been reported to the Ministry of Health and is under review."
