Despite a slowdown in the real estate market, controlling shareholders of major Israeli property firms continue to secure substantial compensation packages, driven by billions in residential sales and robust commercial real estate revenues. Data from financial reports covering 2025 and early 2026 highlights the top five highest-earning controlling shareholders, excluding dividends.

Dana Azrieli of Azrieli Group leads the ranking, receiving a total compensation of NIS 9.2 million in 2025, which averages approximately NIS 766,000 per month. Azrieli has served as active chair of the board since 2014 and officially assumed the role of CEO in March 2026. Following her appointment, the general meeting approved updated terms, setting her annual management fees at NIS 3.96 million alongside an annual bonus of up to NIS 3.84 million, capping her potential annual compensation at NIS 8.96 million.

Zohar Levy, controlling shareholder of Summit, ranks second with NIS 7.1 million. Levy holds 51.19 percent of voting rights in the real estate holding firm, which operates in Israel, Germany, and the USA. While Summit itself paid him NIS 1.24 million, the bulk of his compensation originated from subsidiary Summit Germany, including NIS 2.92 million in management fees and an equivalent bonus. Shareholders are scheduled to vote on a revised management agreement providing annual management fees of NIS 3 million and variable compensation of up to NIS 3.8 million.
