The US-Israeli cybersecurity firm Cylake, founded by Palo Alto Networks founder Nir Zuk, has raised $245 million through convertible notes. This current round brings the company's total funding to $290 million, following its emergence from stealth mode last March with a $45 million seed round led by Greylock Partners.

The latest investment was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, Picture Capital (the sole Israeli fund participating in the round), and Redpoint Ventures. Alongside the funding, it was announced that Ravi Mhatre from Lightspeed will join the company's board of directors, while Rakesh Loonkar from Picture Capital will serve as an observer.

Cylake was founded earlier this year by Zuk, who serves as CEO, alongside Wilson Chow and Ehud (Udi) Shamir (co-founders of SentinelOne). However, the company currently does not employ workers in Israel.

The company is developing an AI-powered information security platform designed for large and regulatorily restricted organizations, such as government entities, critical infrastructure, and financial institutions. Cylake's solution focuses on full deployment within the customer's on-premises infrastructure or in air-gapped/sovereign private clouds, independent of public cloud infrastructures, to enable the integration of artificial intelligence capabilities while maintaining complete data sovereignty.

The company is currently working with design partners and plans to launch a beta version towards the end of 2026, with the official General Availability (GA) product launch scheduled for 2027.
