Written in captivity: Hostage survivor returns to Nir Oz and reveals a chilling work
The hostage survivor launched his moving work at a special performance in Kibbutz Nir Oz, which received close support from Mizrahi Tefahot Bank, which also decided to support businesses from the north and reservists.
The moving connection between Mizrahi Tefahot Bank and Sagi Dekel-Chen, a hostage survivor, continues to yield significant collaborations. The relationship began when Dekel-Chen took part in the bank's campaign, "New Beginnings Deposit," which was intended to support the children of October 7. Now, the bank has chosen to deepen the connection and accompany Dekel-Chen on his personal and musical journey by providing support for the launch of his new album.
The album, titled "Minus One," carries a chilling and deep meaning, having been written by Sagi Dekel-Chen during the period he was held in captivity. The album launch was held at a moving performance in Kibbutz Nir Oz, as part of the Israel Festival events.
The bank's involvement in the event went beyond musical support alone. As part of the concept of humanity, mutual guarantee, and connection to the community that the bank leads, a special stall complex was integrated into the launch event in Nir Oz.
The complex was operated under the "Orange Israel" initiative, a unique platform established by Mizrahi Tefahot with the goal of promoting and supporting small businesses. During the performance, the stalls in the complex were dedicated to business owners from the north and reserve soldiers, with the goal of strengthening their economic resilience during this complex period.
