Cristiano Ronaldo Abruptly Leaves Portugal Camp Amid Youth Team Dispute
Cristiano Ronaldo abruptly left Portugal's training camp ahead of the Nations League matches. Reports suggest his frustration stems partly from his 16-year-old son being omitted from the U-17 squad.

Cristiano Ronaldo and the Portugal national team are facing mounting turmoil. The 41-year-old star unexpectedly left the national team camp after not featuring in a 2-1 victory over Norway and being unlikely to start against Denmark in the UEFA Nations League. "I decided to leave the training camp. In due course, I will tell all the Portuguese people the truth about the reasons that led to this," he wrote.
According to reports in the Portuguese media, part of Ronaldo's frustration with the Portuguese Football Federation is linked to his son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. The 16-year-old young player was not included in Portugal's under-17 squad, which reportedly heavily impacted his father's feelings.
Vitor Pinto, a senior journalist at the newspaper "Record", claimed that the failure to call up his son to the youth national team was an additional factor that affected Ronaldo and his attitude toward the federation.
The Portugal under-17 national team is currently holding a training camp featuring three friendly matches, but the superstar's son was left off the roster. To date, Cristiano Jr. has made nine appearances for Portugal's under-16 team and four appearances for the under-15 squad.
