Court Rejects Roni Mizrahi Group's 12 Million NIS Lawsuit Against Union Bank

The District Court completely rejected a massive 12 million NIS lawsuit filed by the Roni Mizrahi Group against Union Bank. The real estate group demanded extensive financial compensation, claiming that the bank overcharged it with interest and fees during the past decade, but the judges dismissed all the company's claims and sharply criticized its conduct.

According to reports, the group claimed that the bank exploited its position and unlawfully imposed exceptional interest charges. However, the judges who examined the data in depth ruled that "no flaw was found in the bank's conduct" and clarified that all charges were executed in accordance with signed agreements. The verdict explicitly stated that "the plaintiffs' claims for overcharging are rejected in full" after no evidence of failures in account management was presented.

During the legal proceedings, the court highlighted a series of serious failures by the contractor and exposed extensive construction offenses committed by the group over the years. The judge severely criticized Roni Mizrahi's attempt to dictate financing terms, noting that "the developer's conduct in seeking to determine loan interest rates by himself was legally baseless."

The court's decision to dismiss the 12 million NIS lawsuit imposes heavy legal costs on the Roni Mizrahi Group and represents a severe reputational and financial blow.
