Contrary to Palestinian claims: Fire caused by electrical short circuit, not arson

A joint investigation by the Judea and Samaria District Police and the Fire and Rescue Authority has refuted claims that several Israelis arrived last night in the Beit Amra area and set fire to a Palestinian residential building.
Following a report received this morning (Thursday) regarding flames that engulfed the structure, an incident that ended without casualties, security forces were dispatched to the scene to examine the residents' claims of intentional arson.
Upon receiving the report, police forces from the Hebron station, accompanied by a forensic investigator from the Judea and Samaria District and a fire expert from the local Fire and Rescue Authority, arrived at the scene. The team entered the area under close protection provided by the IDF to conduct a professional investigation into the circumstances of the blaze.
During the investigation, numerous findings were collected at the site. It has been officially determined by fire investigators and forensics that the fire broke out due to an electrical failure and short circuit. Investigators noted that no traces of any accelerants were found, a fact that stands in complete contradiction to the claims of local residents that Israelis were behind the act.
