The latest lottery draw resulted in another huge win, but what stunned the participants is a very rare statistical sequence that repeated itself with amazing precision within just one week.

In draw number 3956, the numbers 1, 9, 13, 17, 22, and 23 were drawn, alongside the "strong number" 5. A single winner of the first prize in the double lottery, who matched all six numbers and the strong number, took home 16 million shekels.
According to the data, this is a particularly interesting sequence. In the previous Saturday night draw, number 3953, held on August 8, the numbers 1, 6, 9, 16, 22, and 33 were drawn. At that time, a first-prize win was also recorded, amounting to 40 million shekels, with prizes totaling approximately 56.4 million shekels distributed during the draw.
The repetition of 1, 9, and 22 in two consecutive Saturday night draws may seem like an extraordinary phenomenon, but statistically, there is no significance to the fact that the numbers appeared again. Every lottery draw is an independent event, and the balls are not affected by the results of the previous draw. Therefore, the chance of a certain number coming up in the next draw does not change due to its appearance in a previous one.
In other words, even if the numbers 1, 9, and 22 appeared twice in a row, it has no bearing on their probability of appearing in the next draw. Every possible combination of six numbers enjoys the same probability in every draw.
