Former Mossad Director Yossi Cohen warned during an address at the Taglit-Birthright International Business Summit that Iran is persistently advancing its military capabilities and negotiating in bad faith. He assessed that an additional targeted military strike against Iran is likely inevitable.

Cohen emphasized that Tehran continues to restore damaged facilities and push forward its strategic programs, necessitating decisive action to dismantle those capabilities. He noted that US President Donald Trump is firmly committed to securing a robust agreement and rejects any flawed compromises.

Addressing bilateral coordination, Cohen underscored the strategic value of joint operations between Israel and the United States. He stated that synchronized efforts—combining ground intelligence with American military strikes targeting nuclear infrastructure, ballistic missile sites, and manufacturing plants—represent the optimal operational framework.

At the same time, Cohen maintained that an external military campaign cannot overthrow the ruling regime in Tehran, asserting that internal domestic uprising remains the sole viable path for regime change despite the inherent dangers. He highlighted that recent military actions have successfully inflicted severe damage on Iranian nuclear and missile production facilities.

Turning to global security, Cohen addressed the sharp rise in antisemitism across Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, and other regions. He stressed that ensuring the safety of Jewish communities worldwide and Israeli citizens abroad remains a primary mission for the Mossad, executed through independent operations and close cooperation with local security forces.
