Circumcision of Minister Bezalel Smotrich's grandson: 'The victory of the people of Israel'
A circumcision ceremony was held this morning in the settlement of Einav for the son of Benaya Smotrich, who was seriously wounded in battle on the Lebanese border. 'This is the victory of the people of Israel,' the Finance Minister stated.

In the settlement of Einav, the circumcision ceremony for the grandson of Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich took place this morning (Sunday). The infant is the son of Tamar and Benaya, who was seriously wounded four months ago while fighting on the Lebanese border.
Minister Smotrich wrote: 'Our Benaya, who was wounded in the war, is bringing his son into the covenant of Abraham our father today. This is the victory of the people of Israel against the murderous enemy. The people of Israel live. And his name shall be called in Israel: Yinon.'
In a moving closing of the circle, the birth last week took place in the same hospital where the minister's soldier son was hospitalized following his injury.
'Benaya was seriously wounded in battle just a few months ago, and thank God we got him back by a miracle. Revital and I returned today to the corridors of the excellent Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital - but this time to embrace our sweet grandson, the son of dear Benaya and Tamar,' the Finance Minister wrote. 'Heroic Tamar and hero Benaya, we love you and are very happy with you! The people of Israel live.'
As recalled, the minister's son, who serves as a combat soldier in the Givati Brigade, went on an operational mission in Lebanon at the beginning of March and was wounded. At the time of his injury, Smotrich's office updated that the soldier's condition was good and he was recovering.
