Houthi Covert Operation Fails: Five Terrorists Killed

The operational failure follows the mysterious elimination of a senior Houthi intelligence commander in Sana'a last week. Local sources reported that the commander and his escort were shot by gunmen while driving near the local airport. The assailants managed to escape, and their identities remain unknown.

According to Saudi media, targeted eliminations of Houthi commanders have become increasingly frequent. The success of the latest operation, despite the official's heavy security detail, combined with the organization's unusual response, raises questions regarding Houthi control over their territories.

Sources in Yemen noted that the escalation of such events reflects the fragility of the organization's security apparatus. Furthermore, these incidents expose a hidden conflict between various factions within the Iranian-backed militia as they fight for influence, resources, and leadership positions.
