The Surprising Habits That Give Away Cheating Partners
A survey of dating site users reveals unexpected behavioral red flags that give away cheaters, with sudden obsession over laundry topping the list of suspicions.
If your partner has never touched a washing machine and suddenly shows a surprising interest in fabric softener, they might be trying to hide something. According to a survey conducted by the dating site Illicit Encounters among 1,500 of its users, more than a quarter of cheating respondents said that a change in their laundry habits was among the things that aroused their partner's suspicion.
Laundry habits are not the only giveaway. In second place is taking the mobile phone into the bathroom, whether to send private messages or to prevent a partner from peeking. About 20% of respondents said this behavior raised suspicions, while other red flags included extra grooming products or obsessive car cleaning.
