Channel 13's new management is shifting its digital strategy, leading to a major shakeup that includes the closure of its travel and food sections. Michal Ben Ari Manor is stepping down after four years as the head of the travel desk.
Ben Ari Manor announced her departure on social media, writing: Breaking news - I am no longer with Channel 13, but the good news is I already have a new home at the leading travel portal Visit2israel.
According to Ben Ari Manor, the travel section was shut down despite its high web traffic as part of a strategic pivot to focus exclusively on celebrity news and entertainment. The food section was also shuttered in the process.
Ben Ari Manor is moving to the Visit group, where she will serve as editor-in-chief of Visit2Israel and strategic content development manager. Her entire editorial team is moving with her, led by social media manager Abnit Strolov. In her new role, she will work alongside Asaf Buhbut and Nativ Philipa, the founders and owners of Visit.
