Generational change in Lebanon and the destruction left by the IDF: "Nasrallah's life's work is falling apart"

The security establishment estimates that Hezbollah is suffering continuous and heavy damage in southern Lebanon, and that the infrastructure the organization has built over more than two decades is gradually falling apart under the activity of the IDF. This was learned today, Wednesday. Meanwhile, in the past week, a situation assessment was held regarding the achievements of the Northern Command, under the command of Major General Rafi Milo, which is operating simultaneously under political pressure from Israel, Lebanon, and the United States.

According to a senior security official:

"Hassan Nasrallah's life's work in southern Lebanon is falling apart step by step. The organization's leadership sees how the IDF locates the terror infrastructure built over more than twenty years - and destroys it."

Furthermore, the senior official noted that beyond the financial investment and the time required to build them, "these were centers of activity for tens of thousands of operatives. The IDF has destroyed dozens of such centers, and the activity continues," he emphasized.

Also according to the source, the generational change in the leadership of the Shiite organization and at the field levels is harming Hezbollah's daily functioning, its ability to make decisions, and its ability to build strategic plans against Israel. "Hezbollah's uniqueness was in commanders with decades of seniority in fighting against the IDF and deep familiarity with the Israeli mindset," he explained.

"They are no longer there. And those who were appointed in their place - even the senior ones - do not possess the same operational and political experience, and they do not have the same extensive connections in Tehran to drive strategic processes," he clarified.

Estimates: Between 7,000 and 9,000 killed operatives and commanders

According to the senior security official, there is a debate within the security establishment regarding the scope of Hezbollah's fatalities since the beginning of the war, and estimates range between 7,000 and 9,000 operatives and commanders. This refers to fighters, assistants in various fields, field commanders, and senior officials - led by the organization's Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah.

According to his claim, the current estimate stands at this stage at about 8,000 killed. Since Hezbollah conducts strict checks and orderly registration of its people, which it shares gradually with the public, the security establishment estimates that soon it will be possible to better understand the size of the blow dealt to it.

The source also notes the failure of the "Galilee conquest plan" and the heavy damage suffered by the Radwan Force, both in its operatives and its infrastructure above and below ground. According to him, the emphasis is on areas for prolonged stay that were built meticulously and with Iranian funding, and were intended to allow the organization to operate for a long time near the border with Israel.

Also, the "fire monster" that Hezbollah built over the years - which included about 150,000 items of weaponry of various types - has suffered a heavy blow, mainly in southern Lebanon. Because of this, the security establishment insists on maintaining the pace of locating and destroying the organization's infrastructure, despite the pressures coming from Beirut and Washington.
