"Could end in disaster": Illegal nature party dispersed in the south
Police and Border Police forces raided an unlicensed pirate party over the weekend, dispersed the revelers, and detained several organizers for questioning. The police warn of the safety risks in mass events without supervision: "This is a real life-threatening danger."
Police officers from the Kiryat Malachi station, together with Southern District Border Police fighters, raided an illegal nature party held in an open area near Kibbutz Revadim over the past weekend.
Upon the forces' arrival at the scene, it became clear that the mass event was taking place without a license and without any of the permits required by law. The police acted to stop the music and safely disperse the participants. At the same time, the forces located and detained several suspects for questioning on suspicion of involvement in organizing and producing the illegal party.
In the Southern District, police reiterated on Monday that holding mass events in open areas without regulation, beyond being a violation of the law and a severe environmental noise nuisance, constitutes first and foremost a real safety danger to the well-being of the revelers. This activity joins a series of proactive operations led by the district to prevent pirate events and maintain public order.
Kiryat Malachi station commander, Superintendent Lior Metzarifi, addressed the operation and delivered a sharp message to the organizers and revelers:
"Holding nature parties without the required permits and preparations is not a trivial matter, but can constitute a real life-threatening danger. Past experience teaches that events held without supervision and without appropriate safety preparations can end in disaster."
