IDF Reinforces Security at Cave of the Patriarchs for Sukkot Worshippers
Security forces have deployed heavily around the Cave of the Patriarchs and the Judea sector during Sukkot, protecting over 50,000 visitors amid ongoing counterterrorism operations.

Security forces have launched a comprehensive operation across the Judea sector during the intermediate days of Sukkot to protect tens of thousands of worshippers and visitors traveling to the Cave of the Patriarchs and local settlement events. A dedicated command center, led by the commander of the Judea Brigade, has been established to coordinate operational awareness and ensure a rapid response to any developments.
Alongside securing holiday events, security forces continue routine counterterrorism operations to reinforce defense lines in the area. Since the beginning of the holiday, over 50,000 worshippers have visited the Cave of the Patriarchs. Forces will maintain their heightened deployment throughout the holiday to ensure all events proceed safely and without incident.
"We are maintaining full deployment," said the commander of the Judea Brigade, Colonel D. "Tens of thousands of worshippers have arrived alongside various settlement events. Our mission is to enable these Sukkot events to take place while ensuring citizens feel safe and secure."
