Heatwave, stifling and dangerous: Weekend weather forecast

The weather today (Friday) will be generally clear, but warmer than usual, with heatwave conditions (sharav) in the mountains and inland. Along the coastal plain, it will continue to be humid and stifling, with heavy to extreme heat loads prevailing in most parts of the country. The public is urged to prepare accordingly, drink plenty of water, and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during the hot midday hours.

On the holy day of Saturday, a further increase in heat loads will be felt throughout the country. The weather will become heatwave-like (sharav) in most mountain areas and inland, and will continue to be humid on the coastal plain. Heat loads will be heavy to extreme in all areas of the country, and during the midday hours, a strengthening of winds is also expected in various mountain regions.
