Election Commission Weighs Disqualification of MK Sami Abu Shehadeh

In response, the Attorney General submitted her position, stating that the request should not only be "considered very seriously" but that "there is a basis for disqualification." Supreme Court Deputy President and Commission Chairman Noam Solberg voted in favor of the disqualification. The Supreme Court is expected to make the final ruling.
Right-wing activist and social media figure Mordechai David confronted MK Abu Shehadeh on the streets of Jaffa yesterday. "Sami Abu Shehadeh is running away here in Jaffa. You are blocked, you are blocked in memory of Bin Laden," David shouted at the Balad leader, publishing the footage on X alongside a caption mocking his reaction.
