Green Lantern Acquires 50% Stake in Cafe Gan Sipur at 150M NIS Valuation
Green Lantern investment fund has acquired a 50% stake in Israel's Cafe Gan Sipur café chain at a valuation of 150 million shekels, aiming to double its nationwide branch network.

The Israeli restaurant and café market has seen a major transaction as Green Lantern investment fund acquired a 50% stake in the "Cafe Gan Sipur" chain at a valuation of 150 million shekels.
The deal, following months of negotiations and due diligence, is currently under review by the Competition Authority and awaits final regulatory approval. Under the agreement, Bernardo Balhovitch, the founder and owner, will retain the remaining 50% alongside partners Asaf Iluz and Nissim Ben Simon, and will continue to lead the management team.
Established in green urban parks and public spaces focusing on families, Cafe Gan Sipur currently operates branches in Holon, Rishon LeZion, Herzliya, Hod Hasharon, Ness Ziona, Kiryat Ono, Ashdod, Petah Tikva, and Jerusalem. The partnership aims to accelerate expansion and double the number of branches across the country in the coming years.
As part of its growth strategy, the chain is preparing to open new locations in Tel Aviv at Sportek North in February 2027, in Lod at Nofei Ben Shemen Park by 2027, and in Yavne in September 2027. For Balhovitch, this marks a remarkable milestone following the collapse of his 1990s venture "Pizza Meter" and the successful rise of the family café brand. For Green Lantern, the acquisition adds to its portfolio in the local food and restaurant sector, following previous investments such as the "Biscotti" bakery brand.
