Southern Border Police officers in Rahat arresting a fleeing motorcyclist discovered the vehicle was stolen nine months ago from a fellow unit member. The motorcycle was returned to its owner.

A routine operation by Southern Border Police officers in Rahat ended with a surprising recovery when a fleeing motorcyclist was arrested and his vehicle was identified as having been stolen nine months ago from one of the officers in the unit. The motorcycle was returned to its owner this morning.
During an operation targeting illegal residents in the city, officers spotted a suspect riding a motorcycle without license plates. When they signaled him to stop, he refused to comply and fled, prompting a pursuit that ended in his arrest.
A check of the vehicle identification number revealed the bike was stolen. Shortly afterward, the officers realized the motorcycle belonged to their fellow unit member, having been stolen prior to his career service in the Border Police.
The suspect was arrested and transferred for further questioning at the Rahat police station. The motorcycle was returned to the officer this morning, nine months after it was stolen, following the surprise discovery by his peers.
