Booking.com users are being targeted by a sophisticated phishing wave involving realistic fake reservation confirmation messages designed to steal credit card details.

The messages often appear highly authentic, occasionally including genuine reservation details such as stay dates and booking numbers. This targeted data makes recipients believe the communication is legitimate.

The messages urge users to confirm their hotel reservations via an attached link. Instead of reaching the official platform, the link redirects victims to a spoofed website designed to harvest personal and financial information.

The National Cyber Directorate emphasizes that familiar details do not guarantee authenticity. Users are advised not to click links in such messages, but rather to access the official website or app independently to verify reservations.
