Good luck! Bar Kupershtein opens a new and exciting chapter

Hostage survivor Bar Kupershtein and his partner held a housewarming party this Tuesday in their new apartment. In a particularly moving video shared on his Instagram account, the two were documented affixing the mezuzah, with the survivor reciting the "Shehecheyanu" blessing.

As recalled, when the decision to move was made, Kupershtein turned to the web for help:

"After a long period, it is time to turn a new page, I am moving to a new apartment, starting from scratch. If anyone has furniture or electrical appliances in good condition that they no longer need – I would be happy if you would think of me."

Kupershtein invited anyone who wanted to help to send him a private message and thanked everyone in advance. Hours later, he was flooded with messages from many people expressing their willingness to assist:

"You don't understand how much I love you, I can't keep up with the messages. It really moves me how everyone wants to help me. You don't understand how you have moved me."

Just a few months ago, the survivor announced that he was returning to work in the business he established several years before the kidnapping, "Bar Al HaGrar" ("Bar on the Tow Truck"), which provides motorcycle towing and transport services. According to him, the company vehicle, with which he arrived at the Nova festival on October 7, remained unscathed – a sign that he needed to continue his work.

As he wrote in his book "Not Broken," in which he recounted the story of his kidnapping and captivity, his family lived in rented apartments for years. After a serious car accident left his father, Tal, in need of nursing care, the family had to hire a caregiver, which led to Bar vacating his room to live with his grandparents. While he was in captivity, the family moved to a new apartment, to which he returned immediately upon his release.
