Israeli Security Alert Following Bologna Flight Incident

Five days after an attempted attack by an Omani pilot on a Flydubai flight heading to Israel, a Tus Airways flight from Bologna, Italy, to Ben Gurion Airport was delayed for three hours on Monday. The delay occurred after three Georgian passengers were removed from the aircraft following instructions from the Population and Immigration Authority.

According to authorities, two of the Georgians attempted to fly to Israel using forged Israeli passports, while the entry of the third passenger was legally prohibited. The incident raised serious security concerns regarding how the individuals managed to bypass check-in and border control checkpoints before boarding.

"After those three passengers were removed from the plane, all of us were forced to disembark to conduct a secondary inspection of our luggage. No one explained why the flight was delayed," said Idit, a passenger on the flight.

Additional Security Breach Addressed

Following the removal of the three passengers, all remaining travelers and their luggage underwent re-screening. Tus Airways issued a statement emphasizing that passenger and crew safety remains the top priority, noting full cooperation with aviation authorities.

Earlier on Monday, another security irregularity occurred on a Tus Airways flight when a passenger boarded without completing mandatory border control procedures. Cabin crew identified a headcount discrepancy minutes before takeoff, prompting local police intervention and the removal of the individual.
