Local residents report that filth has been accumulating outside residential buildings since the holiday, creating unbearable living conditions in one of the most densely populated cities in the region.
"The sewage simply rose and flooded our street. Beyond the piles of garbage... living inside rivers of flowing sewage is a genuine health hazard. We live in tight conditions anyway, and the smell is simply unbearable," said local resident Sarah.
