Six Injured in Overnight Fire at Bnei Brak Nursing Home
Six people were injured overnight in a fire at a Bnei Brak nursing home. Two victims are in serious condition, and about 40 residents were evacuated from the building.
Six people were injured overnight in a fire that broke out at the Mishkenot Vatikim nursing center on Amram Gaon Street in Bnei Brak. Two of the victims were evacuated in serious condition, three in moderate condition, and one with light injuries to Sheba Medical Center.
The fire erupted in an apartment on the first floor of an eight-story building. Fire and rescue teams from Bnei Brak and Ramat Gan stations rushed to the scene to extinguish the blaze while conducting searches for trapped individuals.
During the searches, several residents trapped in the burning apartment were located and rescued by firefighters. A total of about 40 residents were evacuated from the building.
Alongside the six casualties taken to the hospital, some 20 additional residents were examined and treated at the scene by medical personnel, with their conditions assessed as light. Magen David Adom reported that a fire investigator was summoned to determine the cause of the blaze.
